These pancakes are my usual morning lifesaver for Sam’s lunchbox and for a post workout for me when I feel like something sweet in the morning. They are easy to prep, and can be frozen. Comment below if you like prepping pancakes

Ingredients:
125 g plain greek yogurt
125 g milk
2 eggs
2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
125 g all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Truth be told, the first few months of Alex’s journey were rough for me.
Our life changed.
My time shrank.
And I was scared I was losing myself. I barely had time to prep my meals let alone create new recipes. And worst of all I stopped training because I wasn’t managing with time.
So I made a conscious choice, to start taking care of me again. Not because I’m not going to be supportive.
But because I realised I can stand beside my partner
without disappearing in the process. I changed the time I wake up and go for a full workout without interruptions.
Life is about balance.
You have to pour into your own cup first
to show up fully for the people you love.

60ml coconut milk
15ml coconut oil
100g desiccated coconut
30g Vanilla protein powder
50g Dark Chocolate

And we’re back at the game. This beef Vindaloo is the perfect treat when you’re craving a nice spicy curry.

800g beef chuck roll
1 1/2 tsp salt

Curry paste:
6 tbsp chilli powder
2 tsp coriander seeds
3 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp cardamon
2 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 tsp black peppercorns
2 tbsp fresh ginger
10 garlic cloves
1 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp fenugreek seeds
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
7 tbsp white vinegar
2 cups water

Curry sauce:
50g olive oil
1 onion ,
1 tsp ginger powder
1 1/2 tsp black mustard seeds
2 tbsp tomato paste
2 tbsp curry powder
1 cup beef stock

Method:

Make curry paste: Blend all curry paste ingredients with 1 cup water until smooth. Pour over beef.

Marinate: Mix well, cover, and marinate for 2 hours.

Cook the curry sauce: Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sauté onion, ginger, and garlic until soft (about 3 minutes). Add mustard seeds and curry powder cook until onion is lightly golden. Stir in tomato paste and cook 1 minute. Add beef stock, stir, then blend until smooth.

Add all the ingredients: Add the marinated beef and the curry mix and slow cook for 4 hour on high in a slow cooker or until the beef is very tender and the sauce is thick and dark.

For us it’s in the bed fights between Sam & Alex, the conversations while walking, the shared meals, the laughter that needs no explanation, I was reminded that love doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful but it’s actually in the little things

I’ve done charity work with people going through cancer treatment, and that stays with you forever. But seeing, firsthand, how many people line up at a soup kitchen simply because they can’t afford to buy food for themselves or their families… that hits differently. It’s confronting. It’s heartbreaking. And it’s a reminder of how much we take for granted.
As a mum, my biggest responsibility isn’t just to provide, but to lead by example. I want Sam to grow up understanding the power of kindness, empathy, and showing up for others. Even if his tiny hands could only help chop a few veggies, he was part of something bigger and that matters.
If we can teach our children to care, to help, and to see the humanity in everyone, then we’re doing something right. Kindness costs nothing, but it can mean everything. 💛

Needing a reset after the holidays is completely normal. After being out of routine, my body has felt tired, low in energy, and lacking motivation. I was also slightly unwell but kept going, so now it’s time to kickstart everything and get back on track.
One thing I’m prioritising is my supplements; Vitamin D3 & Ashwaganda. Vitamin D3 supports normal immune function, helps maintain healthy bones and muscles, and can support energy levels especially during the winter months.
I’m also getting back into meal prepping, which makes a huge difference by saving time, reducing daily stress, and helping me stay consistent with balanced, nourishing meals.
A reset isn’t about perfection, it’s about restoring routine and supporting your body with simple, intentional habits. 🤍

As a former single mother, I know first hand how difficult the festive season can be. While the world celebrates joy and togetherness, many single parents are quietly carrying emotions that go unseen.
During my event “Dawl fis-Skiet”, I opened up about something we rarely talk about … the emotional weight of exchanging children on Christmas Day.
The silence. The empty house. How isolating it can feel when all you want is to protect your child’s magic while managing your own emotions.
But speaking up matters.
Acknowledging the struggle doesn’t make us weak, it makes us human. To every single parent navigating shared holidays:

In my latest interview, I spoke openly about my struggles and about moments when, like many others, I found myself carrying trauma I didn’t choose. There were days that felt heavy, days where simply getting through felt like a win.
But I made a decision to not to stay there.
I searched for coping mechanisms that worked for me, and training became my life. It wasn’t just about fitness, it was therapy, release, and a reminder that I was still capable. Every session was a quiet promise to myself: keep going.
Healing isn’t linear. Strength isn’t never falling.
Strength is choosing to get back up even when it’s hard.
If you’re in that place right now, know this: you’re not weak, you’re not alone, and you’re not done yet.
Find what grounds you. Start again if you have to.
But whatever you do, never quit on yourself. 🤍

Some days Sam is the cutest little human… and other days it’s pure chaos. 🤣🫠 But I’m grateful I get to bring him along for our whole life adventure, for him to always feel like he’s part of our story, not watching from the sidelines. And I’m even more grateful that I’m not doing it alone. Alex is the quiet strength who steps in, shows up, and makes sure both Sam and I feels supported and loved.

I got emotional taking this clip and was about to not post it. But then I realized this is who I truly am. I get emotional about things I am passionate about and this page and my community is one of them. 5 years ago I was at rock bottom, my life fell apart and I needed to get back up on my feet somehow and this page was part of my healing. Along the past years soo many things changed, things that made me grow as a person so on my birthday I just want to say thank you to my family who are always there for me and to ALL OF YOU who support me. 🫶

Before we embarked on this journey my biggest fear was, what will happen with our family. But together we’ve not only grown as a family but adapted to this new life with Sam right by our side enjoying it with us. Is it always easy? Definetly not but it is how we always wanted our story to be.

Most times I am asked why I mention Sam all the time, and it’s simple. Our life revolves around him where we ensure that his needs are met along with the rest of our responsabilities. Before we embarked on this journey my biggest fear was, what will happen with our family. But together we’ve not only grown as a family but adapted to this new life with Sam right by our side enjoying it with us. Is it always easy? Definetly not but it is how we always wanted our story to be.

You know how we’re always on the go. So that means I need snacks on the go. Snacks we can nibble inside the car while we’re going from one event to another to avoid getting headaches or feeling drained from not nourishing our bodies well. So I made a batch of these pecan balls.

Kids don’t learn from what we say. They learn from what we do. Sam always saw me train so naturally he always wanted to be part of it. Ever since he started walking I took him with me to train and even got him to learn how to do certain mvoements. Back in 2022 I got him baby dumbells for him to join along in my workouts. Lately I decided to get him a barbell. It isn’t about lifting actual weights. He’s still too young. It’s about play with purpose. It’s about showing him that movement is fun, that strength is built one rep at a time. And just like his healthy eating he can learn the fundimental things that movement brings. It’s also a time me and him can connect one on one away from everything else.
