There was a time I genuinely thought the life I had dreamed of simply was too hard to find. Then I met someone who didn't just love me and Sam; he showed me that I was worthy of a life filled with love, respect, peace, and partnership . Sometimes, the most beautiful chapters work out better than you can ever imagine 🫶

I’ve been wanting to post this video since Sunday, but I’ve been taking some much needed quiet time with my family and only found the time to film it today.
One of the things I’ve done since the election ended was start following @loveisland_malta Firstly, a huge well done to the production team for creating such a successful Maltese production.
However, what truly shocked me was the amount of online hate directed at these contestants. I even saw someone comment, “They signed up for it, so they should have a thick skin.”
And that’s where I disagree.
Yes, they chose to be in the public eye, just like content creators, politicians, and many others. But that never gives anyone the right to tear another person down. We never know what someone is battling in silence.
Some of these contestants may have joined the show to challenge themselves, overcome insecurities, or step outside their comfort zone. Yet keyboard warriors still feel the need to break them down.
To every contestant watching this: never let strangers define your worth. The courage it takes to put yourself out there is far greater than the opinion of someone hiding behind a screen.
And to everyone else: before posting a hateful comment, remember there’s a real human being on the other side. Choose kindness.

• 80g self-raising flour
• 90g Greek yoghurt
• 1 tsp vanilla essence
• 1 tbsp brown sugar
• 1 tsp coconut oil
• 40g melted Nutella

This time last year marked the beginning of Alex’s journey, and from day one, I believed in his mission, his values, and the person that he is and stood by his side. One year later, I look at him and I am in awe.

Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the countless hours, sacrifices, and dedication that happen behind the scenes, the moments that many never get to see. And every time I hear people speak so highly of him, applaud his work, or tell us how much they appreciate his authenticity and commitment, it genuinely fills my heart.
Politics can be challenging, but seeing someone you love remain true to their values, continue to show up for others, and inspire so many people and give hope along the way is something I will always be proud of.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting with the incredible women of WISTA once again. Every gathering is a reminder of the important work WISTA does in empowering, connecting, and supporting women across the maritime and business sectors. It is always inspiring to be surrounded by such passionate, driven, and accomplished women.

We often measure our worth by our career, our relationship, a promotion or a bigger home. Society tells us happiness is always waiting in the next achievement.

But the truth is, you can have it all and still feel unfulfilled.
Real wellbeing comes from the life we build every day: time with loved ones, genuine connections, peace of mind, and appreciating the little moments. Your value isn’t defined by your title or success, but by who you are and the lives you touch. Sometimes, the greatest achievement is simply finding peace in an ordinary life.

We often measure our worth by our career, our relationship, a promotion or a bigger home. Society tells us happiness is always waiting in the next achievement.

But the truth is, you can have it all and still feel unfulfilled.

While I cook plenty of chicken, meat, and salmon, today I was craving something a little different. So I made these grilled shrimp using my grill set, and honestly... they were ready in less than 5 minutes!

Ingredients:
400g shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tsp oregano
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp garlic powder

Simply mix everything together, marinate for a few minutes if you have the time, and grill until perfectly cooked.
High in protein, light, fresh, and absolutely delicious. 😍

As someone fortunate enough to have a wonderful relationship with my own father, I know I can easily celebrate it with him, but I also know today can also be a day that carries many different emotions.

So today, I’m also thinking of those who like Alex have lost their father too early yet we always hear great things about him. Those who grew up without a present father, those fathers who have lost their child, fathers raising children with disabilities or additional needs, single fathers carrying the load on their own, and men who are longing to become fathers but are facing infertility or a difficult journey to parenthood. I’m also thinking of the fathers who have experienced the heartbreak of miscarriage alongside their partners, carrying love for a child they never got the chance to hold.
All these emotions matters too.
And to the fathers, bonus dads, nannus and father figures who truly show up every day with love, patience, strength and kindness. Happy Father’s Day. 🫶🏼

Yesterday was such an emotional experience.
I attended the Caritas Graduation Ceremony, where residents who have completed their rehabilitation journey were celebrated for their commitment to a life free from addiction. Caritas does incredible work, helping people rebuild their lives and giving them hope for a brighter future.
What touched me most was seeing the pride and emotion on the faces of their families. Watching loved ones witness the rebirth of someone they thought they lost brought me to tears.
A beautiful reminder that recovery is possible, and that second chances can truly change lives.

Some people leave behind far more than memories, they leave behind a legacy of strength, kindness, and service.
I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Josephine Xuereb.

Last year, I had the privilege of inviting Josephine to speak at our Beyond Pink event, where she helped raise awareness about breast cancer with incredible courage and grace.
Despite her own challenges, she continued to inspire others through her strength and willingness to help those around her.
My heartfelt condolences go to her family, friends, and loved ones. 🫶🏼

Sometimes he’ll ask for me constantly when I’m in the middle of filming, editing or doing something. But the truth is, that’s his way of saying, “Mum, I want you.”
And without a doubt, I drop everything and attend to him. It’s also a reminder that social media only shows snippets of our lives. Behind the posts and photos are real moments of juggling work, motherhood, and trying to be present for the people who matter most. And that is why I like keeping it real. More on my podcast 🫶

One thing I love is taking viral recipes and turning them into something a little more balanced without losing the fun.

Ingredients:
½ cup oats
½ ripe banana (the riper the better)
¼ cup milk of choice
1 egg
¼ tsp baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 tsp honey
1 tsp vanilla powder

For the frosting:
100g greek yoghurt
10g protein powder
1 tsp honey (optional)

One where we choose each other every day, not because everything is always easy, but because we’re willing to grow through every season of life together.
I always talk about how Alex and I are both ambitious. We each have our own goals, dreams, and passions, but what makes it work is that we genuinely support each other in different areas and different seasons of life. Seasons change. But having someone who stands beside you, encourages you, and holds you accountable through it all is something I never take for granted.

We don’t have a perfect relationship, we have a real one. A relationship built on values like accountability, commitment, respect, loyalty and support. One where we choose each other every day, not because everything is always easy, but because we’re willing to grow through every season of life together.

As we sit here surrounded by our incredible team that has worked tirelessly, I am filled with gratitude.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for every conversation, every message of support, and every person who believes in Alex’s vision for our country.
Today, more than ever, I am thinking not only as a citizen, but as a mother. The choice we make today is not just about the next few years, it is about the future we are building for our children. It is about the values we are teaching them and the opportunities they will have, the quality of life they will enjoy, and the Malta they will one day inherit.
We have worked hard, listened, and stood up for what we believe will create a stronger future for families, workers, businesses, and the next generation.

Normally, I’m the one preparing healthy breakfasts… but today I simply couldn’t say no to a nice cup of tea and fresh pastizzi while having the opportunity to meet so many of you.
Moments like these remind me how special genuine conversations and your constant support truly are. Thank you to everyone who stopped for a chat, a smile, or simply to show support.
